How should I prepare for the ÖSD German exam?+
Choose the exact ÖSD certificate and level you need, download its current official Modellsatz, and take a diagnostic attempt. Then create a weekly plan for Lesen, Hören, Schreiben and Sprechen, giving extra time to the task types where you lose the most points.
Where can I find an ÖSD Modelltest or Musterprüfung?+
ÖSD provides free official sample tests for A1 through C2 on its downloads page. Use the official material to confirm the current format, then use additional practice and feedback to build consistency between full mock tests.
Is ÖSD only Austrian German?+
No. ÖSD describes its exams as pluricentric: they reflect standard varieties used in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Familiarity with different vocabulary and accents can help, but preparation should focus on standard German and the tasks for your certificate.
What do ÖSD B1 and B2 candidates practise most?+
High-intent preparation commonly centres on B1 and B2 Modelltests, Schreiben, Sprechen, Lesen and Hören. Productive tasks need repeated practice because model answers alone cannot show whether your own response is clear, complete and appropriate.
